Another new transformation reportedly happens in the new Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie

Several months ago, it was seemingly revealed in a trailer for the upcoming movie, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, that Piccolo would showcase a new transformation. This was particularly unique as it’s traditionally been Saiyans, not Namekians, that transform to increase their power levels. The Namekian way of increasing has typically involved a form of fusion that is permanent.

According to those that saw Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero during its recent midnight showing in Japan, Piccolo apparently isn’t the only character that has a brand new transformation. Be aware that there will be spoilers for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero mentioned beyond this point.

Towards the end of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Gohan finds himself facing off against a familiar foe. Like Frieza in Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’, this familiar foe has seemingly gotten a lot stronger since the last confrontation.

It’s here when Gohan is able to tap into a form that has never been seen before… canonically. Ironically, fans have been meme-ing about this form for Gohan for several years now.

Upon activating this form, Gohan’s hair turns white or silver. His hair also becomes noticeably long, but maybe not quite as long as SSJ3 Goku’s hair. Finally, the irises of Gohan’s eyes turn red.

While this form is active, Gohan is surrounded by a blue and red aura that sometimes overlap to become purple. Indeed, the similarities to Goku’s Ultra Instinct form are very apparent.

For many years now, fans have memed a form for Gohan where his hair turns white as a transformation. Many referred to this meme and transformation as “Gohan Blanco,” with “blanco” being the Spanish word for “white.”

However, it appears that this form’s official name might be called “Final Gohan.” This appears to be the most powerful form ever achieved by Gohan.

Similar to how Gohan first achieved Super Saiyan 2 to defeat Perfect Cell in Dragon Ball Z, this form apparently required a certain “trigger.” History began to repeat itself after the transformation happens.

Rather than killing the enemy with a Kamehameha, Final Gohan was apparently able to unleash a Special Beam Cannon as his finishing move. Perhaps Gohan has been keeping up with his training since the Tournament of Power Saga.

As of right now, it’s speculated that development for Dragon Ball FighterZ has wrapped up, aside from a balance patch that will likely address Lab Coat Android 21. However, considering the success of Dragon Ball FighterZ, we’ll likely see a sequel someday.

Being that the recent movies had a tendency to get referenced a lot in Dragon Ball FighterZ (see Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta and Super Broly), it’s possible that “Final Gohan” may become playable in the future.
