The Auburn and Oregon State baseball teams meet in Game 2 of the NCAA Tournament Corvallis Super Regional on Sunday, June 12.
Oregon State defeated Auburn 4-3.
Auburn went to 41-20 overall. Oregon State improved to 48-17 overall.
Oregon State and Auburn will meet again Monday in Game 3 of the super regional.
Auburn won Game 1 of the super regional 7-5 vs. Oregon State on Saturday. The winner of the best-of-three series advances to the 2022 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. The CWS is scheduled to start on Friday, June 17.

Auburn’s Bobby Peirce outfield assist
Auburn right fielder Bobby Peirce fielded the single hit to right field by Oregon State’s Justin Boyd, and Peirce threw out Matthew Gretler at home plate to end the top of the ninth inning. Auburn catcher Nate LaRue got the putout.
OSU’s Cooper Hjerpe leaves to standing ovation
Oregon State starting pitcher Cooper Hjerpe left the game with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning. The crowd gave Hjerpe a standing ovation as he came out of the game. He had six strikeouts with three runs, three hits, and two walks allowed in 5 2/3 innings vs. Auburn.
Auburn’s Brody Moore RBI double
Auburn’s Brody Moore hit a double to center field that drove in Brooks Carlson from second base in the bottom of the fourth inning. Carlson’s run tied the game 2-2 with Oregon State.
