Chamber Hosts 20th Annual Business Open Golf Tournament | Sports

Out of 21 competing teams, The Peoples Bank of Georgia won first place in the 20th annual Thomaston-Upson Chamber of Commerce Business Open Golf Tournament, held Wednesday, April 27.

United Bank took second place; Driver, Adams + Sharpe CPAs placed third, Shane Waller won the chipping and putting contest, and Devan Nicholson won the 50/50 golf poker fun prize of $450 with the best hand of three aces.

Additional prizes were awarded for the shortest drive on the opening hole (Scooter Micaa), longest putt for birdie on the fourth hole (Jacob E.); closest to pin on hole 15 (Brad White), longest drive on the seventh, and longest drive on 18th hole.

Following Skye Perdue’s performance of the National Anthem and a chipping/putting contest, 21 four-person teams competed on the 18-hole course at Raintree Golf Club, aiming for the lowest score.

In addition to score-driven awards, golfers had the opportunity to win a brand-new Ford F-150, courtesy of Southern Ford, for carding a hole-in-one on the par-3 eighth, along with additional door prizes.
