Champions are crowned in league’s final weekend

OLSH grad Dawson Summers, with a total of 92 points, was the overall winner of the 2022 CJ2K Slam Dunk Contest.

Each week this summer, the Beaver County Times will provide updates on stats and standings, along with the top performers for the CJ2K League ― a highly popular outdoor summer basketball league that takes place in Beaver County. Here are the highlights from last week.

The third annual CJ2K League season came to a close this past weekend with “All-Star Saturday” and the end of the boys’ and girls’ championship series on Sunday.

Saturday’s events consisted of the boys’ and girls’ Future Stars games, the boys’ and girls’ Rising Stars games, the Canine Kingdom “No Chill” Slam Dunk Competition, the Reign 3D “Make it Reign” 3-point Competition (boys and girls) and the boys’ and girls’ CJ2K All-Star Games. The Midland Old School took home the boys’ CJ2K League championship after completing its two-game sweep of the Cranberry Cool Runnings, while the Bethel Park Lady Hoop Dreamz secured the girls’ CJ2K League title after finishing its two-game sweep of the Hopewell Lady Showtime.
