There’s big scenes this week on Emmerdale, Coronation Street and EastEnders, with a brutal attack, a possible affair and a big decision – sparking the return of a character
Soap fans have plenty of drama ahead this week, as there’s some twists and turns on Emmerdale, EastEnders and Coronation Street.
In the Dales, there’s two big storylines unfolding as Nicola King is violently attacked, while Faith Dingle’s cancer secret is revealed to her family.
On Corrie, a former character makes a surprise return to the ITV soap, just as Abi Franklin prepares to fight for custody of her baby son Alfie yet again.
Over in Walford, EastEnders fans will see a possible new romance kicking off as Dana Monroe is torn between her ex Bobby Beale, and his brother Peter Beale.
Corrie return as Abi’s battle continues
Wendy Crozier returns to the cobbles this week on the soap, ITV spoilers have now confirmed.
The character was last seen in 2012 and had been in a relationship with Weatherfield legend Ken Barlow when she worked as a council source for him when he was a journalist.
Wendy’s character, played by Roberta Kerr, is now returning to Weatherfield in amongst the drama surrounding Abi and Alfie.
Abi will learn this week that she has to reapply for custody of Alfie and the hearing is actually taking place the following day.
Later on in the week in the court waiting room, Abi starts s***ging off the judicial system to a woman nearby – unaware of who she actually is.
With the custody hearing about to start, the Judge takes her seat and Abi is horrified to realise it’s the woman she met in the waiting room.
Believing she’s ruined any chance she had of getting custody of baby Alfie, Abi listens as the local authority solicitor lists her failings as a mother and recommends that Alfie remain in care.
Is Abi set to lose Alfie all over again? Or will the fact that she has reunited with her husband Kevin help her redeem herself and prove that she can provide a stable home life for her son?

As she misreads the situation, Dana leans in for a kiss – but how will Peter react?
Emmerdale attack, and Faith’s bombshell
Faith Dingle’s cancer diagnosis is finally revealed to her loved ones, weeks after she was told her illness would shorten her life.
Faith asks her daughter Chas to make plans for her birthday as she’s hopeful it might give her a chance to make peace with Cain.
Whilst Chas and Bear plan Faith’s party at The Woolpack, Faith struggles with the idea of dropping the bombshell on her birthday but is encouraged when Moira suggests she has a plan to ensure that Cain shows up. When he does show up, he’s not happy about being tricked.
In a seriously nasty twist, Cain tells his mother that his birthday wish for her is that she’ll drop dead just as she reveals that her cancer is back and that it’s incurable.
Elsewhere, Nicola King is savagely attacked on the ITV soap this week by a group of teenagers, soap spoilers have revealed.
The drama kicks off this week amid the ongoing council rivalry, when Laurel, Nicola and Bernice head out to a bar as a way of getting the two warring sisters to make up.
But the plan goes awry when Nicola heads off early, only to be quickly accosted by a group of teenage girls as she walks to her car.
The attack comes out of nowhere and Nicola is left blindsided when she’s mugged by the savage group and then left beaten, bloodied and unmoving. Will Nicola be able to recover from such devastating injuries?
