Is Warriors’ Andre Iguodala playing tonight vs. Celtics? Forward’s injury update for Game 2 of 2022 NBA Finals

Andre Iguodala hasn’t been available for most of Golden State’s playoff run.

The Warriors forward appeared in three of the team’s five games against the Nuggets in the first round of the 2022 NBA Playoffs, but he’s since played in only one game.

Following a 12-game absence, Iguodala returned in Game 1 of the 2022 NBA Finals. He logged 12 minutes, finishing with seven points, three assists, three fouls and one turnover.

Will Iguodala be cleared to play in Game 2 of the Finals?

Is Andre Iguodala playing tonight vs. Celtics?

Iguodala was originally listed as questionable for Game 2 because of a left cervical disc injury, but the Warriors ruled him out hours before the game for a different reason — right knee inflammation.

Between Games 1 and 2, Andrew Wiggins mentioned that Iguodala was “banged up.”

“It means a lot,” Wiggins said about Iguodala playing through injury. “He’s willing to put his body on the line even though he’s banged up. He’s older, but he’s willing to be out there and fight with us. It means a lot. It’s motivating. We’ve got to go out there and play and hoop.”
