VIENNA — The 26th Kids Golf Classic golf tournament will be held Monday at the Parkersburg Country Club in Vienna.
The annual tourney is a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Parkersburg and the major sponsor is United Bank.
Kids Golf Classic has raised more than $3.5 million since its inception to assist the Boys and Girls Club. The tournament is underwritten by United Bank and supported by local residents, organizations and the business community.
Last year, the tournament raised $273,000 for the club. Proceeds from the event account for more than one-third of the club’s operating expenses.
The tournament begins with an 11 a.m. shotgun start.
The flighted scramble includes 108 players and a hole-in-one contest on the par 3 No. 2.
The 2022 check presentation and tournament sponsor recognition program will be held about 4:30 p.m., followed at around 5 p.m. with the awards presentation and social hour.
